Thanks,
Steve

Made by Remington.
What does the tag say on the lower left?
Can we see closer photos of the left and right sides?

The photo is from an online sale ad and is the only one the seller has provided. I have sent an email to the seller but have not received a reply yet. I am mostly just curious to know what the saw is. The seller is located too far away from me to make buying it practical.

That aircover is the key to identifying these Remington saws.
There are several models in that design series.
They re-badged and painted some of them for John Deere.
Some of them also appear with other brand names on them.
You could look through the Models Library and Mike Acres' site, but the fastest way to ID the saw is to get the readings from the tag from the owner. It might be painted and branded for McClouds or some other Canadian brand.

Thanks Old Mac Guy. That tells me a lot about where to start looking on Mike's site.

It looks like a PL-4 or an SL-4.
There were some Canadian versions made of Remingtons... with different details on recoil and decals...
Good luck figuring it out from just that single photo...
I copied and enlarged it and it looks like it says 38cc on the recoil decal...
But I didn't find a saw to match exactly at 38cc...
Since this is all hypothetical and the owner is too far away for you to deal with...
I won't spend any more time on this one...
