Thanks for that picture, it helps me match the saws to the model numbers I have listed for them. I was guessing the SL35 was a regular S25CVA while the SL35B would have had the chain brake.

I'm guessing the SL3 has just a handguard.

Looking at the dates for these it shows Jobu had these saws branded for them way before the Elux buyouts, just like Jonsereds did.

I am fixing up a Jo-Bu SL3 as I write this message. Will post pics when I am done. I am suspecting that I am having a "Frankensaw" because on one side panel the model name SL3 is printed and on the other SL3S. Have a SL31 too that will be the next one I try to clean up and make run. Seems like these saws are rarer than I suspected

They sold a lot of them... Not sure if any version was sold more or less, but there was many sold at the time.
Post your saws in the models library. More saws makes better library!

Oh well. I still love it  It is such a simple and light-weight saw. Even lighter now after I have removed 50 grams of bugs from the filter.

Not sure whether this is a SL3 or SL3S since it has the markings of both models....... FrankenSaw

Chain still in oil since some of the links were rusted and did not move freely.

Nice to see, I wonder what the difference was between the SL3 and SL3S? Probably not much

Ah, that makes sense as Poulan didn't make the point ign Micro saws that long before they all went to electronic ign.
