I proudly lead him down the patch of destruction.

He now has his first collector item, Jonsereds 621!

(Of curse we agreed it was a firewood saw)
Of course it is a firewood saw! I can tell already that it is a runner, got it started today. Just to determine that it would not start without some tinkering I pulled a number of times, after looking that there was some old gas in it. And suddenly it spluttered. Some more pulls and it run.

Gonna take a good look at everything, clean it up where needed and do some adjustments, then I believe it's ready to cut with.

As Magnus said, I visited him and his great family. When I arrived he had a show for some other visitors going, so there were a lot of nice saws out in the open. And I got the opportunity to run a Faun two man also, with Magnus at the helper handle. That was fun, I have never held one of these big ones before.

The downside of it was that I then got caught in the process of carrying all these iron monsters inside. Anette and I carried the engine ends one handle for each, and agreed that they would be better named 3-man saws.

These nice animals live only a stones throw from Magnus home, saw them on a little evening walk.
I also stayed overnight, got some good food, some good beer and some good whiskey! The next day Magnus took me on a trip and showed me the countryside where he grew up. We also met his parents and were invited for coffee and sandwiches.

It was two absolutely great days. I got to see so much, got to meet Magnus and his wonderful family, we talked and had fun. I also got a nice big Jonsered, as has been told already, thank you Magnus for that!

Thank you Magnus, Anette, Tim and Filip so much for this happy time! Oh and a special thanks from Näva to Nalle, they had a very nice time together!

During this trip I also met Åke, Kärrabol and saw his excellent chain saw museum and got a very good lunch. Åke was very nice to talk to we had a good long talk inside the museum. Åke has a lot of what Magnus lacks, space! His museum with the saws in pillars is a really aesthetic experience. Thanks a lot for your hospitality and my greetings and thanks to Monika!

This weekend I think I met about 10-12 saw collectors.
It is more than usual. I learned a lot this weekend and will try to remember all of it.

I got to see how the chain grinder mounted on the Jonsereds 62/621 saw looks like for example...
With some luck he might have a extra laying around somewere..

Very nice to see a fine picture from this excellent museum, which I also enjoyed very much this summer, when I was there.

Pete, I haven't been to his house for almost two years now.
Clearly, it's time to visit him again.

Somehow, this fine topic got started in Off Topic... and has been buried there.
But we now have a section in the forum for discussions of shows, visits, etc.
I think we need to move this topic there.
What do you think, Magnus?
