Some nice afternoon walk helps us find another beautiful bunch of blossoms of cherry blown off in the gust of wind this noon.
IMG_0002.JPG
Not very sure for the name but think this is one of the kinds of the cherry I posted a couple of days ago;
"Double-flowered cherry, or rather "Octet-flowered" literary"

These blossoms always make me love April.

An orchestra can not stand only with contrabass, bassoon, trombone, but does with violin, clarinet and cornet, sometimes accompanied by a tiny triangle.

Yes, many nights in a row with quite hard frost, that is no good for many growing things. Last night was the first one for almost a week with no frost. But today it has been rather nasty weather, almost a gale and rain.

Day before yesterday was quite nice.

The farmers exchanged dirt today. Traffic almost stopped on road outside as the drivers had a hard time to see thru the dust.
It's a yearly thing, no surprise, not that bad this year.

Decent weather today, temps in the lower fifties, a bit windy but sunny and clear.

My friend Olle and me went to a veteran moped and mc market in Degeberga. Not that I needed any parts but there is always a lot of other stuff people bring together with the bike stuff.

I bought small hedge clippers and a cleaning spray gun. Spent about $6.

Olle bought a Danish Solex moped, he has two such ones before. This one is to be a parts machine.

There was a better one, black in one of the top rows by cabins.
When were you there? Looks pretty empty..
Spring is not so early, you get to see much if you are there by 8 and lasts all day.
Fall market is quite different. Often all is done by 10. Most is visitors between 6-8. Some stay until 3-4 but its pretty slow...
Best deals are done friday evening...

It was perfect weather for market today. Cold morning, but no snow.

A better one moped you mean? There were several such ones, but Olle wanted this as it was a decent price and he is going to use the rims fro the wheels, and probably the cylinder and piston. Got it for slightly more than one rim costs new.

We came at 11 AM and walked around for a couple of hours. Market started at 6 PM. There were quite many people, just not when I shot that pic.

Still raining here. I hate my lawn already.
Highways are still touch and go, a few big slides causing closures, delays and long detours over iffy secondary roads.

Last night rain, then early morning hours snow and freeze. Storm was fast-moving and already now over Arkansas and Missouri heading up into Illinois. My neighbor's two apple trees were in full bloom yesterday. This morning it looks like some patches of bloom survived the freeze. Maybe there will be some red and golden delicious apples this summer...

The rather chilly weather continues. It is acceptable in the days, in the low fifties most, but there is frost every other night, not good. Luckily, the fruit trees have not started blooming. Says that at the middle of next week we'll get some real spring temperatures. I believe that when I see it.

There is damage on some cherry trees I am told. Some suger beets and union they got in ground with unlucky timing.
But its typical April wearher, nothing unusual so far...

Well, a bit unusual it is, most people I talked to say they can't remember it being this cold, especially the long row of frost or near frost nights. Been a rather nice day today, up to 14 C, 57 F.

Yesterday was rather nice too, did some forestry work. Getting two halfway storm felled birches down. It's on the neighbors ground, he came by and told that he don't manage any chainsaw work and that I could take all the birches that were storm felled. Some more, laying all down, I did Saturday.
